Post Drie

Wow! So it has been far too long since my last update! I apologize for this!
So before I begin the update about support, I want to take some time to share something truly sweet and amazing! Almost two weeks ago, the Lord sweetly interceded into my dad's life!! Ah I can't even begin to explain how amazing it was to hear him (my dad, Jeff) explain that he accepted Christ into his life as his Lord and savior! Dad, if you are reading this I love you so very much and am extremely excited to see God move in your life (as I have already seen Him begin:) ). This is my prayer for you: Paul says it the best!
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:9-14!

Okay, so now that I have shared that amazing news I feel like support is so small compared to that lol :) But, it has still been extremely sweet and growing! God has been showing me sin in the area of trust. More specifically how I do not trust Him with things in my life, one thing in particular being support. I focus on the huge amount of $5,500 and think "God how are you going to do this?!". He has shown me I lack trust, because I keep believing that I have something to do with raising this support! HA In reality He does call me to be faithful in sending out letters and following up on the letters via calls or meetings; however that is it! In the end Jesus is the One pulling on each person's heart to give! :) Its very freeing when I trust that sweet promise. When I begin to trust (by the grace of God through His Spirit) that He is the One bringing in the money and not man, it really takes my fear away of and frees me up! I currently have, in hand, $2,381 and promised around $3,500 :) God is moving and using who He wants!

Some verses I have been clinging to are: Jeremiah 17:5 and 1 Thessalonians 5:24
I want to end with the promise in 1 Thessalonians 5:24 "The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. " Amen!

Until next time, totsiens (goodbye)
Alicia
